Naaga is a cocktail bar from the ISMAYA Group on the second floor of a building on Jalan Gereja Theresia in Menteng, above its sister restaurant Semaja. The concept draws on Indonesian heritage and the dragon of Javanese myth, with drinks built around local spices and ingredients.
It is a single room, and DJs and an MC run themed nights several times a week, from house on Wednesdays to R&B and hip-hop on Saturdays, plus pop-up karaoke. The bar bills its parties as starting early and finishing by midnight.
It opens at 5pm and closes around 1am, Monday to Saturday. Entry is free and tables are booked through WhatsApp. It suits people who want good cocktails and a dance in central Jakarta without a 4am finish.
Line-ups and door prices shift weekly; a club's Instagram is usually the most current source.
