Cherry Discotheque is an underground room in Keck Seng Tower on Cecil Street, styled with 1980s retro-future visuals: lasers, neon strips and a checkerboard dancefloor. It opened in 2016 and has a loyal following among CBD workers and younger clubbers.
The music is unapologetically fun: nostalgic singalongs, 2000s hits, old-school hip-hop, reggaeton and current chart bangers. Wednesday is Wed Nostalgia, its ladies' night, and weekends run late.
Entry is free for ladies before 10pm and costs from S$30 otherwise. It is smaller and more casual than the Marina Bay clubs, and suits groups who want to dance to songs they know. Tickets for themed and presale nights are sold through its Eventbrite page, and walk-ins are welcome on quieter nights.
Line-ups and door prices shift weekly; a club's Instagram is usually the most current source.

Big night planned? Tables at the busier clubs go early on Fridays and Saturdays.
