Engine Room opened on Jalan Legian in 2008 and has grown from a single dancefloor into one of Kuta's best-known clubs. The main room is a busy, mirror-ball-hung space with bar tops and podiums around the floor.
Resident DJs play every night, moving between R&B and hip-hop, tech house and EDM, with occasional international guests. The club is open daily from 8pm until 4am and entry is free, which keeps it popular with backpackers, Australian holidaymakers and locals bar-hopping along Legian Street. Event flyers mark it as 21+.
Tables can be booked through the website, and the venue sits within walking distance of the other Legian Street bars. Expect a loud, high-energy, commercial night rather than a polished lounge; it suits groups looking for a cheap and cheerful late one in Kuta.
Line-ups and door prices shift weekly; a club's Instagram is usually the most current source.

Big night planned? Tables at the busier clubs go early on Fridays and Saturdays.
